We just had an earthquake.
I’ve felt a tiny tremor before that woke me up some years ago, but this was crazy… Everything shook a little, then a few seconds later, everything shook a lot more! It seemed like the whole house was rattling. Car alarms were going off, and my cat went nuts.
Mad
Edit:
It’s reported to be 4.7 on the Richter scale and the epicentre was 30 miles South of Hull.

Another Edit:
The official response by The British Geological Survey is that it was a magnitude of 5.2 on the Richter scale! You can download the pdf here or check out their website here.

Glad to see I’m not the only one that turns to the web in times of mild panic. I was blogging it as my neighbour popped up at the window outside, which scared the hell out of me all over again!
Oh - we’re just south of Derby here and it felt pretty rumbly, quite a decent size by the looks of it!

Duncan: I was watching Shaun of the Dead when it happened… It hit right as the zombies were overtaking the pub!
My neighbours are putting an extension on the back of their house so I could hear the scaffold squeaking and shaking along with the rumble. Was terrifying lol
